Task 6d: Inquiry Plan

After drafting up my inquiry plan, I have changed my inquiry question back to what I was originally looking at.  These two questions are still very much linked with transferable skills but what I want to make sure is that my intended inquiry will benefit my future prospects as much as possible.  As I do not know where my inquiry will take me and where my career will take me I have decided to continue to look into the transferable skills that can be applied to learning within primary education.

Inquiry Question: Are there any transferable skills which can be learnt from a Performing Arts class and be applied to enhance learning within primary education?

I would be interested to here your views and opinions on this inquiry question!

  1. This is very similar to my line of inquiry and transferable skills, I have specified academic confidence in EYFS, I've found it difficult to find concrete research on this subject as it is difficult to measure, to many variables to take into account. Have you found this when studying literature?

  2. Hi Lisa,
Do you have a SIG? Transferable skills is something i'm now looking into..

  3. Yes Michelle I have found it hard- but more so to find information directly related to Primary. I seem to be able to find transferable skills relating to dance, but it all seems general! I am keeping my eye out though to see if there is any literature which is more focused towards this level of education.

Hi Ruth, I don't have my own SIG but joined Emma Corboz's group, where we all have a similar interest into Performing Arts in Education so certainly feel free to join (see link below), and also to discuss anything with myself!
